Just a Summer Day

One day I was walking to the park in the summer. Like usual, I walked barefoot. It was my favorite thing of all thing to walk barefoot in summer. I liked how my feet always felt whatever was on the path to the park. Since I walked across the road on the way to the park, I always felt like my feet were enjoying life more without my shoes. I was just strolling across the sidewalk when I saw the strangest thing in the whole entire world!
A dog and a cat sitting in the same tree! The cat was two branches higher than the dog and was hissing at it with a mean look in its eyes. I almost exploded laughing when I saw the cat start throwing acorns at the dog! It looked like the animals would get into a fight. Just to stop them, I scrambled up the tree to where the creatures were fighting. Suddenly, I stepped between them and the animals just froze. I think they were pretty surprised to find a human on a tree. I thought I was about to stop the animals from fighting, but then they both tried to throw stuff at me! What was I supposed to do?
I thought I was doomed until I had an idea. What if I took one of the animals down from the tree so the other couldn’t fight it?. For some reason though, I had thoughts against doing that. What if these animals had owners? Then I would be stealing a loving animal from someone. Then I had a different idea. What if I stopped one of the cars on the road and asked the person inside if I could borrow their phone. I think I thought that it would be a bad idea because it was strange to stop a car on the road. Also, it would be a bad idea because people wouldn’t be happy if I went and called the police to get some animals down from trees.
Then I think I had the best idea of all ideas. I could just run home and get a phone from my house. Then I could climb up the tree and call the police pretending that I was stuck in a tree when I was trying to rescue a dog and a cat in the tree. The only issue was that I wasn’t stuck in the tree. I could easily climb down. Now I must tell you who I really am. I am the master tree climber of my whole school. I could climb up any tree and get to its top in about 1 minute. I wasn’t scared of any heights at all. I was the best at anything involved even the teeniest bit in climbing. I could climb up any wall just by sticking my hands on it and moving up. Anyways, back to my idea. I knew I had to get these animals down so I decided just to go with the best of all my plans.
I ran home and got a phone. Then I ran back to the tree but the animals were gone! I looked at the texture of the tree and finally realized I was at the wrong tree. I ran fast to get to the right tree but suddenly I saw the animals stuck in the tree right in front of me. How did they get out, I thought? I had bigger issues to worry about though. The two animals were attacking me! I ran to the park the dog and the cat chasing me the whole way. When it had finally seemed I lost them, I sat down on the nearest bench and started relaxing. But suddenly both animals jumped out of the bush and I was being chased again. I ran through the park, and when I finally lost them for real; I sat down on a bench and relaxed for 10 minutes. Then I ran home and into my room. I turned on the AC.

What an adventure I’d had!

The Cat The Mouse And The Bear

One sunny morning, Razor the cat was chasing Rfree the mouse, through the streets of Yosemite village in California. Rfree managed to run into a restaurant. Razor zapped in just to be stopped by the chef. “You bad cat! You’re scaring my customers!” he said throwing Razor out the door. Razor stood outside the restaurant waiting for Rfree to come out.

Meanwhile Rfree spotted a back door and ran out. Moments later her family came to take her home. When Rfree went to her room she thought of something. If I can befriend an animal that can eat Razor, that would be great. She had  always hated him. She tried to keep her hopes alive and now she had a splendid idea.

Applying her plan, she went into the forest next morning. Running through the trees she spotted a bear going to its cave. Suddenly she thought, if I can make friends with that bear, surely will Razor be dead. After a good nights sleep, Rfree went into the cave but found nobody.

Every morning, for a month Rfree went to the cave but nobody was there. One morning Rfree went back to the cave just in time to see the bear coming in. The bear went in and Rfree got a little nervous and left. Next day, Rfree came back. Once again the bear was in sight. Just as the bear was going in, an ear splitting cry was heard.

Rfree knew this was his chance. He went and saw a cobra biting the bear. Rfree started biting the cobra, and the cobra went for Rfree. Immediately the bear escaped. Just as the cobra was about to kill Rfree, the bear, bit the cobra. While the cobra was recovering, the bear grabbed Rfree and ran to his cave.

“Nooo...” yelped Rfree thinking the bear is going to kill him. Inside his cave the bear took Rfree and said “My name is Ashba. What is your name?” My name is Rfree, he said. “You risked your life for me; what can I do for you?” Ashba told Rfree. “Well, I would love if you could make the cat that harms my family our friend.” “Am I going to town?” exclaimed Ashba. “Yay, I’m so happy!” “I got to go now, See you tomorrow” Rfree told Ashba.

At home Rfree told his parent’s what had happened. “That cat is finally going to be our friend and not eat us.” Jelpe (papa) sighed. Ryofu (brother) said, “I’m so happy!” “No more nightmares” Fhwa  (mom) called.

The next morning Rfree took Ashba to town. Ashba hid under a white blanket pretending to be a ghost. When Rfree caught up with Razor, Rfree ran into an empty alley with Ashba behind him and Razor chasing him. When nobody was looking Ashba ripped the blanket off and snuck on Razor from behind.

Ashba caught Razor in his mouth. Then Rfree told Razor, “please stop harming our family or Ashba here is going to have to eat you.” “ I won’t harm your family ever again. I am very sorry and I  hope you forgive me. I would love to be your friend.” Razor replied with fright. “We forgive you Razor.” Rfree answered. Just then, people started filing into the alley. “Oops!” jolted Razor, Rfree, and Ashba, and they ran down the street together.

The next day Razor called Rfree’s family and said “come over to my house with that Ashba of yours. I have a feast for all of you.” “Sure” they answered. Rfree called Ashba from his new bedroom at their house and told him what Razor had said. Finally they were all ready in their bests clothes to go to Razor’s house. When they arrived, Razor said “Hello.” to the family. They replied with, “Hello. Are you having a great day?” “Yes” Razor answered. When the family looked around they saw a humongous table set up.

It containedCheese for Rfree, Jelpe, Fhwa, Ryofu. Razor got it from the cheese factory. For Ashba Razor gothorse tails and grass from the meadow, Berries from the bush near his home, Aquatic plants from the lake (Razor had his friend Najda, the turtle swimming around the lake all morning to gather the delicacy for his special guests), Red ants from the forest (Razor’s friend Tiro, the monkey hopped from tree to tree to gather the fanciest ones). You get it. There was all the food anyone could imagine. They had a feast full of fun.

These days whenever Ashba, Rfree, or Razor needs help they go to each other. Using all their creativity and help from their friends, they built a mansion and lived happily ever after (together).

Moral: Standing up to a bully is good, but helping them build friendships is even better.

The Dumb Cat

Once upon a time a bird was sitting in a cage beside a cat. She did not want to be in the cage, she wanted to fly freely in the forest. Suddenly the bird’s mind lit up like fire. She had an idea to free herself. The cat could break open her cage! The only problem was that the cat was a guard cat.

The only good thing about the cat was that it was really dumb. The bird could easily outwit the cat. The cat was trained to be a guard, but he was lazy and depended on another cat so he never mastered his skills. Everytime he needed to do guard work, he ordered the other cat to do it instead, without thinking about his own future. Finally he had turned out dumb and lazy.

As soon as the bird noticed a window in the room was open, she knew her idea would work. The bird asked the cat, “Dear Cat, if you can just open the door to my cage, I can help you out with your chores, and then get back in”. The lazy cat thought that was a brilliant idea and immediately open the cage door.

The bird flew out the open window and that was when the cat realized his mistake. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the cat screamed, but it was too late because the bird was out of view.

Prologue
Months later the cat was given to a local pet shop. He wasn’t a guard cat any more. He wasn’t special because of the big mistake of depending on the other cat.

After 3 years in the pet shop the cat was adopted. His new owners named him Biscuit. Biscuit lived happily ever after. He was only a little jealous of all the other guard cats and how he wasn’t one any more because of the big mistake.

Moral: Don’t depend on others to do your own work or you will fail in life like the guard cat.

Happy cat thinking of bird doing its chores, and eager bird thinking about her plan!
